I'm new and need help / suggestions. If you can point me to a particular thread that addresses this great. If you respond to this thread great too! Thanks in advance for your help.

Looking to add gauges before I start to Bomb so I will have a baseline to figure out my screwups.

Need suggestions for BRAND, TYPE, PRICE, Website to look at. and anything else you can think of.

Think I like the Pillar mount type, prefer analog to digital, but am open minded to experts input. Need Fuel Pressure, Boost, EGT, and ???? what else!!

I appear to have found that Slippery Slope everybody talks about here.

Gauges

Try Diesel Power Products . I just ordered a pillar mount and Di-pricol gauges from them. They are competitive and I feel they go the extra mile to satisfy their customers. Their package includes painting the pillar to match your interior. My interior is a medium gray color. I couldn’t locate the color code so they called Dodge with my VIN no. They found out that my truck was a limited edition and the interior was one of seven grays used in 96. They went ahead and ordered the special color with no extra cost to me. Now they have a can of an odd gray that will most likely never be used. They also include everything you need to install down to the misc. wire and connectors. They called at least three times to keep me informed with their progress and getting my order out. I’m not used to that kind of personal service back here on the east coast.

Dull Pain,

I looked around quite a bit for the right pillar mount. Most I found put the gauges out toward the right of the A pillar in the, windshield, blocking even more view than the large A piller blocks already. The one I got puts the gauges directly behind the A pillar so no more of your view of the road is blocked. I purchased this one from TST Products, http://www.tstproducts.com, along with DiProl gauges. I did have to get painted. Gierhart Diesel Performance, (local shop in my area), painted it for me at a cost of $35. 00.

i ordered mine from DIS. dis and genos garage are the only ones that i could find with low prices. ~$274 for triple pillar pod, pyro, boost, and trans temp. other places wanted around $360. no way would i pay *over* retail. they're autometer ultra lites- very nice looking but autometer didn't put the thermocouple in the kit and my boost guage is on back order. . so it's a stupid mess.

Di Pricol guages are great, except my bulbs burned out in the first month I had them, and I can't find a replacement anywhere, so therefore I would go with autometer, there bulbs are the same as what is in your factory guages. Does anyone know where to get replacement bulbs for the Di Pricol guages? I need to call TST and see if they will send me some, shouldn't cost me anything since they didn't last but 3 weeks, that was in both guages too:mad:
