Autometer

Where did they find the ULTRA-LITE II AutoMeter gauges. They are not listed on AutoMeter's website nor on Geno's. Like the looks of those alot.

Give up

3rd time I've put out a question reply and not got an answere. Guess I'm either doing something wrong or nobody cares.

Yes... ... you are correct... they are the best choice to match stock gauges!!!!!

After having both the Isspro and the DiPricol Optix, I would recommend the DiPricols. The Isspro's have a white ring that lights up around the outside that I thought really looked bad, and the needles were orange, not red. The Dipricols EGT looks great, the turbo guage needle is not lit, and there is some light that leaks out, but over their pretty good. I still haven't found that perfect facotry match like the VDO's were in my 01, but the Dipricols are the next best match.

i've got all the gauges you guys are wanting, pm me or call for pricing Oo.

I am going to install the westach combo guage as well, have a buddy that has them and they look great plus... two guages to do 4 things

I'm a little late in responding to the request for gauge opinions, but I thought I'd add my pennys worth.

I really wanted to go with the new DiPricols Optix, with the improved lighting, but they weren't quite ready when I was. I also looked hard at the Isspros. One nice thing about them is that they're right here in Oregon. (Portland) One problem for me though was the fact that I wanted an Oil Pressure gauge and they didn't have one nor were they going to produce one in the near future. (I called)

I decided, after much thought and research, to go with the Autometer Lunar Series. I have to say, I'm very happy with the quality, looks and exceptional clear viewing at night. I have a set of Autometer gauges in my '66 Chevelle that have been there awhile. If these new gauges last as long I'll be a happy camper.

One more thing, I installed the gauges on the dash. I really like being able to keep an I on everything at the same time. Below are a couple of shots at my setup.

Dipricol Optix

Buddy, take my advice and go with the Dipricol optix line of guages. I have them ready to go in my new mega cab. I have hooked them up and they are a perfect match at night and day. Trust me, you will love them.

I've used the X-monitor gauges in the past and I really liked them. I will be going with them again this time around.

Finally going to order this week

Well I am finally going to order my gauge this week. We bought a new house in November so all my time and money has been going into it. Finally got my wife convinced I need something that doesn't involve the house.

I am set on not giving up my grab handle so I am going to order the Westach combo gauge and the SRT Pillar.

How long does the install take? Are the directions clear? I am planning on ordering from Genos. I will do a search later on but can someone tell me where the best place is to drill for the probe Pre-turbo of course. I think I will need to round up a right angle drill is that right?

Also is the 35 pound boost gauge enough if my truck is going to stay stock. I may add an exhaust but other then that it will be staying stock.

Thank you very much for everyones opinions, I consider them all when deciding what to get.

A pic would be worth a thousand words here, but I don't have one handy. I drilled just forward of the center of the manifold as low as I could get with a regular drill. I don't think you need a right angle drill. There's a pic of the probe location for the Edge Attitude in the PDF instructions below. Scroll down to page 24 of 45 on this pdf (page numbers are located in the center on bottom tool bar):

If you actually stick to this, I don't see a need for anyting over 35 lbs. I think the max stock boost is around 24 or 26 lbs, but if you add a box of any kind, you'll be around 35+.

DiPricol Optix

As mentioned in above posts, the DiPricol Optix gauges do match very well and look real good in the truck. However, service after the sale is up in the air right now.

I purchased the boost and pyro with pillar mount and started having problems with the pyro the next day. I have double and tripled checked the wiring. The gauge seems to have a mind of it’s own after about 30 minutes. Shut the truck off, restart, and everything is fine for another 30 minutes.

Since the gauge is only about 3 days old, I have to remove it, send it directly to DiPricol to be checked, pay for the shipping etc. I am not sure I have ever purchased anything where in less than 2 days another was being sent right out if there was a problem. They say it is DiPricol's policy, maybe it is, but you may want to consider this in your decision.

Get the 50psi boost gauge, you'll thank yourself later.

Just installed the 3 in 1 digital guage from Dakota Digital and love it. Get boost, transmission, and egt all on one guage. Can set up warning temps and boost as well as either manual or automaticaly calibrate the boost! :)

I've only had them on for a week (EGT, Trans temp), but I'm very happy with these ISS-PRO gauges from Geno's Garage. The day & night colors match the factory gauges perfectly!
