Hi I am looking to install an oil pressure gauge and a fuel pressure gauge in my 12 valve and I have a few questions:

I am going to use an isolator but will it work with oil pressure?

These gauges will be mechanical is there any issue with useing a fuel pressure gauge with the mechanical lift pump????

Why are you using an isolator with an oil pressure gauge? You shouldn't have a problem with running that into the cab thats not big deal. Lots of people have problems with the pulsation of the pump on the fuel pressure gauge, the isolator dampens them but after awhile the isolator gets damaged. You need a pressure snubber to dampen most of the initial pulses and the isolator will do the rest without getting damaged. I recommend a 2-5 micron snubber, you can find them pretty cheap at Grainger.com get the porous disc type and get brass.

Hi Grainger wont sell to me as they only sell to buisnesses, however where would I be able to obtain a fuel pressure reading from as there are no ports I can see of that I can tap into???

You have to drill and tap the stock banjo fitting. Look in the FAQ section under Signal73's post on how to build a fuel pressure gauge. He goes into detail on how to drill and tap the banjo bolt.

Sorry I meant Mcmaster-carr not grainger. Here-

http://www.mcmaster.com/

Search for ''pressure snubber'', then scroll down to porous disc medium pressure snubbers and get the brass one 2-5 micron. Part number 4034K1, then you select which micron size you want on the left hand column.
