Well I got my gauges today but have to wait awhile before I can put them in. Found out that I have some clogged arteries so I have to go get them cleaned Wed. morning. Going to wait till I get that done before I start.

I also ordered a TDR grill badge and it came with fellpro to install with. How have the rest of you been installing them? Will the fellpro hold it on or do you need to sue something else? Also I ask Geno for the fitting that you need for the transmission temp probe to go into the fluid line out of the transmission but they did not send one. What kind of fitting do you need and what size. Thanks for any help. Sam B.

Do you mean velcro? I got my TDR grill badge yesterday and was wondering how the heck was that heavy thing was going to stay on the grill with velcro? A little heat and it will fall off??!! So what is everyone using to make it stay put?

There was a recent thread about this. Many suggestions. I just installed mine sunday and have a idea to add.

Got the idea from the double back sticky tape that was included with the badge. I used tie wraps. There are a lot of accessories for tie wrap mounting. One of these are about . 5" square pads that have sticky tape on one side and a plastic mounting tab on the other. Stick 3 of these on the back on the TDR badge, positioned so the 3 tabs were alinged up with the holes in the grill, 2 one on top the other, one centered between the two and off to the side, and make sure the are square with the top of the badge. -- Then just put the tie wrap though the tab, though the holes in the grill and mounted.

As long as the tape holds, very secure, not loose at all. Can cut the tie wraps to remove at any time, and can peel the pads off the back of the badge. ( Did this a few times before I got it mounted so the badge was straight up and down ). Anyways you can strip this all back without damage to the badge. -- All the tabs and tie wraps are hidden behind and dont show, unless you are right there inches away.

TDR grill badge

Thanks for the replies.

After thinking about it I was thinking about useing liquid metal and putting a couple small bolts on the back so that it could be bolted on or just one with a large washer. We will get it on there in afew days.

Thanks again

Good luck of the rotarooter job on clogged arteries. I used JB Weld and some tabs used to mount transmission coolers to mount my TDR grill badge. This held. Could have used wire ties and JB Weld. I tried to JB weld bolts to the back side, but didn't work.

Let us know how the operation turns out.

We''ll send some best wishes from Saturday meeting to you.

The TDR logo is installed on my truck by- Epoxy glue 4 1/4 inch elevator bolts to back of metal logo. Next day put thru grill and using 2 short pieces of gal. metal drilled for 1/4 inch bolts to put on the inside of grill. Removable anytime with no grill damage. :)

I made this bracket out of stainless steel. I used clear silicon in addition to the four tabs that wrap around the badge, seems to be plenty stout.

TDR emlem modified

I used two bolts with JB Weld. Two will prevent the logo from turning on the grille. To prevent pressure on the back of the Emblem, I double nutted it and also used neopreme washers to prevent damage to the grille. Looks good and seems sturdy.

glogged aryery

Went to the Dr. today and after checking me out the decesion was made to to keep an eye on it and see if it got better. Going to have to get off my diet. (see food eat it) and watch what I eat. Go back in Aug. Better off than I though.

TDR badge: Used JB weld and put me a bolt on the back yesterday and it has been sitting since then to set up good. Will put it on in the morning and start on my gauges. Will let you know how it goes. More than likely will need some help before I get throug. I an't to good on that electrical crap. Have a fine day.

Good Luck; We're Thinking Of You

Samb, I just read your post. The whole staff is supportive of you and hope you're able to handle the situation with diet and exercise (we understand that sounds easier than it is). Both Robert and I have way too many pounds (and that is being kind) on our frames, so we understand. Best of luck!

Robin, thanks for the kind words. The wife will keep me on the straight and narrow, she watches me like a hawk when I am around food. I will follow the Dr's orders because I want to last as long as my Dodge and then get another one and wear it out before I kick the bucket.

Lots of ways to put a badge on your grill. I bought a Cummins Power badge off the Cummins web site, and it's plastic with emblem tape on the back. I cut a piece of sheet metal slightly smaller than the emblem, brazed two screws (10-24x1 1/2 inch) on the back, then painted it all black. Then I put camper tape on the back of the sheet metal so it won't scratch the grill. Then all you have to do is put washers on the back side of the grill where the screws fit through, use locking nuts, and tighten just so the camper foam tape starts to squish, then you are ready to go. I cut and filed the extra off the screws. One inch screws would probably do, but I wasn't up for another trip back to the hardware store. This is the el-cheapo method but looks real good. I like the stainless work Bob showed!
