The best for night viewing are Isspro EV's, and also DiPrcol, I have not seen the VDO Vision series but hear they are also good.

TDR issue 34, page 25 also has lots of gauge info.

I have the Isspro EVs in my truck and the VDO visions in my VW. Both are excellent in visual eye candy. The Isspro edges out the VDO with its convex front glass, and bolder numerals. The VW has the VDOs simply because the dash instruments are VDO, so I figured, why upset the mixture.
