Don't know about the transmission temp, but I've done boost and pyro. For the boost, I just removed the air intake tube (aluminum) and then drilled and tapped a hole for the compression fitting, which should have come with the gauge. For the pyro, I drilled a hole in the downpipe, the diameter of which was the same as the diameter of the probe. I then inserted the probe and used the stainless clamp to hold her down. HOWEVER, in retrospect, I should have drilled into the exhaust manifold, as that gives a more relevant temperature reading.
