RMTDR KDP Killin' Cookout - Oct/Nov 05

Dyno day needed in MO.

Even though my truck is stock I would still like to run it and watch some others smoke it up. Topeka closer for me, but KC is ok.

Thats fine by me, just let me know if anything needs to be done in person here in KC and I will try to help since I am here and work thurs- sun and can handle most things mon-wed during the day when most people have to work.

2005 Dyno Dynamics -- Primedia Publishing "Hard Drive Tour"

Okay, here's a bit of an update on this topic:

Dyno Dynamics and Primedia Publishing are doing a nationwide series of dyno competition events. Right now, there are 10 scheduled events in major cities throughout the US, NOT including Kansas City. I'm working to convince the people in the decision-making chair to add an event in Kansas City to the schedule, but it revolves around how many participants we could expect to attend as either competitors or spectators. This would be a no-excuses dyno ShootOut event to include trucks, cars, and most likely, motorcycles as competing vehicles. There will be a vendor and exhibitor's midway, food and drink available, prizes, etc. There will be a good bit of media coverage by TV, radio, and enthusiast publications. If you want a shot at 15 minutes of fame, here's your chance.

The date for such an event could be any time from the middle of March, to sometime in the fall of this year. If anyone is a business owner or has a role in promotions at their place of work who is interested in being a sponsor/vendor/exhibitor, please contact me off the forum by phone or e'mail, and we'll discuss further this proposed event.

Thanks a bunch, guys. . . . and stay tuned for more details!

If it is in KC - I'll hook my friends 40 foot flat and bring maybe a Magnum R/T and a Srt-10 truck or viper -- put them on the rollers!!!!

(just dont tell the boss)

Boy I would like to come but if you have it in March Or April count me out. :( :(

I have not missed one yet but this may be the first.

I know about 4 other guys that would come.

Oo. Oo. Later Joe

I can guarantee at least 6 six trucks for a big event like that.

Depending on costs, may be able to help in the direction of sponsorship too.

No more "Hard Drive Tour."

Alright, here's the latest.

I was HOPING to somehow add a KS or MO event to the schedule for the Primedia Hard Drive Tour thing. Well, I just got an e'mail announcing that it's been canned for this year due to a lack sponsoring participants. So, all the time lost trying to meld this event into that series was time wasted.

That being said, we're still looking at when we can do this. I've had a handful of supporters indicate some interest, but we need more. . . . many more. This is a lot of work, costs a lot of money, and won't end up happening if it's to be shouldered by a couple individuals. If you'd like to see this happen, please have the diesel related businesses you prefer to do business with please contact me if they're interested in helping out.

Thanks,

Well well just what I have been looking for. I would be very interested in attending an event of such great importance. Looks like I am a little late in throwing down a tread. Make it KC, I would love to find some other Cummings owners to chat with.

Say maybe you can help I am looking for some information on a local chapter to join in the KC Mo area. Do you know of any?

Thanks

What happened.....

That's what I want to know. Is anybody going to do anything in the KC area? I'm looking forward to it if you are -- I don't care what it is -- I'll show up! :) I thought that John from Floor-It in Lawrence was looking at getting a dyno, maybe he can set something up.

If anybody knows of anything in the area, please let me know.

Thanks!
