Gave a PSD owner a ride

Saw him returning a borrowed farm tractor/trailer/truck outfit and new he'd need a ride back to his truck. His truck is a late model F-350 PSD 4X4 SRW.



We I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER-chatted (he's a farm-boy not "into" trucks like us) and such until finally I had to point to the UFM. He never said anything about the gauges. Anyway I mentioned that I might get up to 325HP with the setup as it is. And I got that "what do you need all that power for?" question. [apparantly we are the ONLY people who take Tim on Tooltime seriously!]



So we make it out the the road with a smooth paved surface. And I give it a 3/4 throttle run through four gears--just taking it easy. Look over at my passenger and he's absolutely goofy grinnin' .

Good Answer! I say we start a campaign to give Duramax and Powerstroke drivers a ride whenever they need one! It's the only charitable thing to do!

My F-350 CC driving buddy has always liked my Dodge Cummins trucks, a '95, '98, and 01. 5 better than his Ford with the exception of no CC. He likes the shorter quad cab of the new Dodge and is leaning toward an '03 QC SB that will fit in his garage.

I had my powerstroke driving freind follow dirve my CTD the other day. his had two comments



"man you would smoke my truck off the line in that thing... "



and



"I think something is wrong with your steering... "



I agreed with both comments to bad my 5 star stealer doesn't agree on the second one...



after driving mine and his experience with his current phurd He's now looking at an '03 QC HO. I think the nail in the coffin was when I told him the mileage from my last road trip (19mpg at 75 mpg, 22 at 60mph )
