'03 Texas Rally Roll Call!!!

Austin, Texas

Ok all, who would be interested in gathering at Gateway International Raceway on October 18 to have some fun and watch or participate in the DHRA race being held there? I think we all ought to get the family out and have a good time:)

Let the posting begin and we can decide the particulars later.

speak of the devil

Hey me and Dave were just talking about us all getting together this afternoon. He just got his new transmission and maybe by then Keith's thumb will be better and he can get it in. :D Gateway is also having midnight madness racing on I forget the date, but it is from 11 p. m. to 6 a. m. I will post he date when I can remember it. A lot of those guyz from show me smokers are goin. You can count me in.

How much does it cost to get in and what time does it start?

I think we are slaughtering beef that day. I don't know how many, but last time we did 4 and were done by noon. Would take me close to 2 hours to get there after that.

Would really like to come!!!

I don't have the specifics on the race yet ... waiting for that to come anytime ... then I can post the admission/racing costs and the time things will get underway on the 18th ..... sure hope we can get a HUGE turnout for this one . . this race is the Division 3 finals for the 2003 racing season. I'll be there!!!

I'll be there for sure. I'm leading the points race in Div 3 right now with 2 races to go (WI & Gateway). It's a close race with the top 5 of us within 50 points (a 2nd place is worth 50 pts). Looking forward to racing at Gateway again - it was a good time the last time we were there.

HUM looking at the calander I am at the firehouse that day. Looks like I need to find a trade  Thats enough time I should be able to pull it off.

hope to see you guys

Race information:

This race will be in conjunction with Gateway's regular race program. This is NOT a diesel only event. However the DHRA sanctioned lanes will be open to any diesel powered car or truck to participate, regardless of affiliation with the DHRA.

Gates open for racers at 1:30 with the track going hot at 3:30 for time trials. Two runs for time trials and then Eliminations start at 6:30. Forest City Diesel is the sponsor with trophies, there will be a pit purse for all of the competitors.

It's $30 to race ($20 pit purse on top, so bring $50)

$8 for spectators.

I'll be there for sure Keith. Congratulation on the dyno run. I cant imagine what that truck would do if you didnt have to pull anything! :--) I hope I can get mine together for the races. One things for sure, my truck is definately a she. And a moody one at that!:( :D See ya all there!!

Dave

Keith and I are going to bring some pork steaks and a grill. We should have enough for most to eat. If some of you would want to bring some chips and dip, plates, utinsels, soda, salads, etc, please bring something.

This is going to be a GOOD time so come on out and have some fun. WE ARE.

Also, there will be some small signs up to locate the parking place for most of us. Steve and Eric, I am going to try and get the same spot as two years ago.

It's tommorrow!! Looks like we're going to have a real good turneout . . not based on what you see here mind you ... but from all the calls I've had ... and other promoting going on ... see ya'll there!

Great time! It was nice to see all of you that came. The racing was spectacular! Hope to see a bunch for future events.

Nice win Eric. Let me know what the outcome is for the Champion of division three is, or is it a tie!
