Nice bars, I would like to enjoy their abilities on my truck. Unfortunately, I'm not ready to loose the clearance that they require. The whole bolt on concept of theirs looks good, just needs to tuck up under the truck tighter. Sigh... ... ... ... .

I am waiting on a set of Superlift Select Series bars that I had oredered a week or two ago. I hope I'm not disappointed because GDP bars look real nice. Just wasnt aware of it. Hopefully I didnt make another bad choice like the FASS 150 22-25 max psi or life of pump will decline. (Should have bought GDP fuel system)

Hmmmm...

Luken,

What is the length of the bars from the center of the bars where they bolt in the mount on the rear up to the front hook up eye center?.

My mind is has bad things in mind here since they do not offer them for us older truck owners,LOL... ... Andy

I'll get you a measurement soon. Richard has already posted when he gets the 3rd gen bars rolling good he is going to take a look at the 2nd gens. Hopefully nobody gets leftout :D I'm really happy with them... They really load the axle but still allow the springs to flex. Very nice for a street rig!!

If your concerned about ground clearance

For those of us who need to maintain maximum ground clearance, these bars just will not work. I know I would rip the front mounts off the first time I hit the trails. As an alternative, I recommend checking out Heliwig's Traction Control bars. These mount on top of the spring pack and do not change ground clearance at all. They will not completely control axle hop like true ladder bars, but they really tame it. I have had them on RAM for about a year. The hop I used to get in sand is completely gone, even with a loaded bed. They are cheap too, about $70 from JC Whitney.

Notice my rig isn't a baja racer... . I put 40,000 hard miles a year on it. Street/Strip is all my truck sees. Obviously if your concerend with Ground Clearance there are other options. This setup is great for guys who drive their rigs on the street everyday... No matter what hp level your at.

It is the ULTIMATE for a guy like myself who wants something that performs very well on the street, gets me traction on the strip, rides like stock, lets the suspension do it's thing... . and looks awesome!

No thanks...

Sweet bars... I was looking into getting a set for my truck & couldn't find any that I liked. That is a good heavy duty, good looking setup. I was talking to Doug @ Advance Diesel Technology & he said that he could make ladder bars to fit my truck. He has some awesome ideas on powder coating & aluminum covers with water jetting ADT in the cover. He said that he could get anything that I wanted water jetted in the aluminum. He also could use steel, stainless or whatever. That sounds sweet too!

the front shackle assembly needs to go on the side of the frame, not the bottom.

im going to check out the geometry on my truck tomorrow and see if its even possible

These bars wont work with my Firestone air bags. :{ The bags and the bars mount to the same place on the axle tube.

Sell them and buy the airlift bags that mount above the spring
