Should I be concerned?

which oil bypass kit

Am I trying to run fuel thru to many filters? On a hard run my lift pump (392 GDP) fuel presure will drop off pretty easy and then my rail presure drops. The reason I ask about the filter is do I have to much restriction? I have a small inline filter before the GDP, then I am running the stock filter and then a 2 micron just before the CP3.

Are the guys that are running big numbers not running a 2 micron filter? Should I remove the stock filter? Just some questions, and just thought that this pump would do better I guess.

Thanks

I run 4 filters total with minimal pressure drop. What are you using as a bypass? Is it GDP's kit? The only way to keep consistant pressure is with a bypass regulator. I use Aeromotive's universal bypass (0-60psi) and I keep it at a tick above 20psi and it NEVER moves...

I'm running the exact same system that you are describing... the GDP 392 walbro with big line kit, small inline filter before the pump, stock filter, and then the 2 micron filter as well. Fuel pressure reads 20 psi at idle, 18 psi and WOT. --Eric

I also have the same system. Inline filter, stock filter, 2-Micron filter, and I'm using an aeromotive regulator, set at 18. I've never seen less than 16 out of it. When was the last time the filters were changed?

I have the idle presure set at 22psi, and have just replaced all filters. I am running a WIX 2 micron instead of Fleetguard. But my Fleetguard filters just came in.

Thanks

I have the GDP comp. kit set at 28 psi with the 2 micron filter between the tank and pump and thats it. At wot with ppe hot all the way up pressure drops about 5-6 psi , hope this helps!

i have the gpd with big line kit and the dual filter set-up they offer. i deleted the stocker and run 16psi, 14psi is the lowest iv'e seen.

what size sticks are you using? im gonna guess big ones. on my truck with TST and 3's i had to run 2 walbro pumps and put the second one on a toggle so it dont run all the time and just use it as a pusher pump. works great. give richard a call and ask him about the 2 pump setup.
