Gear box capacities

I looked through my owners manual and can not find any capacites. Where am I missing them??



What is the capacity of: front and rear differentials.

transfer case

5600 transmission (6 spd)



Is it necessary to change the transmission fluid at 50k miles???

AMSOIL - Synthetic Oil, Motor and Engine Oil, Lubricants, Air Filters, Oil Filters and Greases has a listing of fliud amounts. baisly 3 qts front diff,4 qts rear diff. 2 qtstransfer case and duh on the trans. Nv5600 does better 1qt overfull.

Xfer Case - 3 Qts



I think I got these numbers from the Maintenance Manual.

There is a discrepancy in the x-fer case. One says 2 qts. the other 3 qts.



Will the real number please stand up.

Buy 4 quarts and fill it until it runs out the fill hole. Mine took 3 quarts.

As for the every 50K, mine didn't go that far. I think I changed mine the first time at 20K or so and then switched to Amsoil at about 40K.
