Been having a few issues with my 2006 recently, I just did the front main seal and power steering pump, degreased the engine for probably the 6th time and did a bit of driving. When I got back home and popped the hood, I noticed oil again at the top front of the engine. I pulled the cooling fan mount about an hour ago and after I cleaned it and ran it again, I saw some oil splashing up between the gear case and the block! Upon closer inspection I noticed that about 4 inches of gasket was missing (pic attached). Any idea what could have caused this? I realize that I am going to have to pull everything in front of the engine again at some point to replace the gasket, but according to this post I should be able to get by for a bit with RTV, any comments? https://www.turbodieselregister.com...ng-should-i-do-a-cam-too.225835/#post-2331228
