Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) gear driven

i took my 96 in to my cummins guy today do to me having a oil leak. he asked me if the truck was gear driven. what does that mean and is my truck gear driven?

He might be talking about your timeing and cam and oil pump? If so then the answer is yes. Also if he is a cummins mech he might should already no that.

I'd take the truck somewhere else... that kind of statement shouldn't be coming from a dude about to wrench on your truck.



Maybe he misspoke or you misunderstood him... let's give him the benefit of the doubt.
