So what's wrong with a T-Shirt diaper for an air filter?

Source for JIC fittings and push lock hose?

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has any expierence with the Gear Vendors Over/Under Drive System ?

My friend's got one in his '07 5.9. They don't recommend one with an EB.
This friend wouldn't get again. $4K installed.
Mild fuel economy increase wasn't worth it in his opinion.

Thanks Regcabguy,
You said that they don't recommend to use one with an 'EB' did you mean Engine Brake (I wonder why that is ?) ? I was considering using one with an automatic transmission and a turned up 5.9 12 Valve. Are the claims that Gear Vendors make about increased Torque and Horsepower true or is it just a gimmick ?

Also poor tow ratings, I looked into one in 2005 after I kept looking for 7th gear in my 2004.5, very expensive as well. As noted, there not worth the upgrade, unless you have a manual and you only run empty.

Got one for my '96 with 5 speed. (needed to split 3rd and 4th) The Automatic transmission is a better application. With a manual, you must disengage the GV while transmission is in neutral, since mine would drop out with a not so subtle clunk once the clutch is engaged. A lot of shifting occurs while going through the gears. Upshifting is really fast and easy however. Probably more useful with the 410 axle . An Exhaust Brake will kill the GV unit since it's not designed to have reverse thrust. While I had the mine, I enjoyed the quick upshift in 3rd and 4th. 5th over was too much for my 354 gears, and 4th over was very similar to 5th straight, but didn't challenge the 5th gear retainer nut. At the time I dyno'd at 527Hp, and the think held together. Greg
