2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Gearing and tires

If I had a stock truck with 4. 10s, what size tires would I need to run to get the effective gearing ratio of 3. 54s?



My truck has 3. 54s now and if I upgrade to 315s or whatever my effective gearing will be around what, 3. 30 or something, which means I would need to add more power to get the same acceleration and such, but my top end rpms would be lowered.

Well... figure in 4th gear you're at 1:1 ratio soooo.....



What's stock size tire? 265/75/16? if so, 2000rpms = 53. 13mph



315/75/16 = 34. 6" with 3. 54's you'd be at:



2000rpms = 58. 18mph



Effectively your gears would be ~3. 21 or so...
