I have a 95 with a NV4500 with a gearvendor over under drive unit on it. Awhile back the speedo cable broke so i ordered another one. Man it was a tight fit with the gas tank but i got it in and 12. 8 miles down the road and snap broke the cable again. Does any one have one of these units and have had this problem before?

You might check with Ken & Donna at Auto World Montana (autoworld in this forum). They install them and have experience. . worth a try / PM / call.



I'd be checking to see if you have a mount loose/broken - why is it moving enough to break the cables all of the sudden? Unless. . the second one got damaged trying to install it in that tight place.

There should be a 90 deg. adapter on the OD. If not you will NEVER keep a cable on the truck.
