I use it to disperce water. High volume only means fresh fuel. Nothing to do with gelling. I have never gelled up yet.

My reference to the high volume pumps is more to the fact they refill usually every other day, This eliminates the chance of a slow selling diesel car station which may have summer grade fuel after the chill has hit.

I have yet to have a gel problem sinceI rn through a tank a week if no more in the winter. Truck idles alot more when I first start it up in the winter.

I had a simular problem with my truck last winter. It turned out that some diesel fuel suppliers (to save . 02c per gallon?)did not climatize the fuel for use below 15 degrees F, causing wax to crystallize in the fuel. The wax blocked the fuel screen in the tank stopping fuel flow. What I did was add FPPF "Melt Down" to the tank as directed, and warm the tank carefully. I removed the fill cap, disconnected the fuel supply line at the lift pump and used compressed air to clear the line and screen. The fuel system had to be purged of air. After that, the truck started and has ran fine ever since. This winter I have been using Power Service "Diesel Fuel Supplement" w/o any problems. IMHO, I would recommend using a fuel additive each time you fuel up as well, and not to trust any fuel station to have added it to their ground tank for you.

May wanna think twice about using ps911 and fppf. It contains alcohol. Yea it wil degell. But not healthy for a $ 3500 dollar injection pump and injectors. Also if you use to much alcohol it will attract moisture.

I don't recall in wich tdr book. But there was an exellent write up on what to use as far as additives in the winter and what not to use.

Fuel that can be burned in the winter in a p7100 pump.

A new method?well maybe,probably not

on my 93 diesel I encountered a no fuel at the lift pump,so I took the bleeder screw out and pumped in with a oil can /flexhose and rubber tip till full an ounce or so of 911 after filling the new filter with kerosene still no fuel then I noticed a quick connect fitting on the lift pump tank side I warmed up a few ounces of 911 and with a funnel poured it till almost full and noticed the bubbles appearing /almost like draino on a sink I tapped on the line and more bubbles till they stopped . Then I bled the filter side with the pump and lo and behold it worked. then I bled the high pressure side and it worked all the while hooked up to an other dodge diesel not to drain the battery mind you it was 30 degrees and not 30 below as it was when this problem occured I always use howes except the last time I filled up as I was out I can only blame myself but I thought this proceedure might just help someone as you members have helped me when I was at witts end
