Just bought a Honda em7000is, my question is has anyone try to hook up a cheater to a generator it werks well at a rv park that only has 30 amp service. seems you should be able to do the same with a generator as long as you get on both sides of the out put. TIA Harv

The trouble with running your generator in a RV park would be the noise it makes irritating your neighbors. You would most likely be asked to secure it by 11PM and not start it until 7AM.

NO WAY DO YOU EVER WANT TO USE A CHEATER CORD TO HOOK YOUR GENERATOR UP TO PARK POWER!!!

If it has a 120/240 volt selector swich, select 120v and you can pull 45 amps out.

I would not connect the generagor in line with park power. AC has a sine wave where it changes from 120V+ to 120V- 60 times per second. Your generator will not be at the same part of the sine wave as the park electric at the same time so you will end up with different voltages. In fact if your 180 deg out of phase you could see 240v! Run one or the other but not both!
