Generator - Which Oil Do You Use ?

I'm buying a Yamaha iseb3000 gen. set for use with my travel trailer when camping. What oil do you gen. owners use? Can we run synthetic? Any thoughts?

I ran Dino Oil for the first two oil changes. Then went to synthetic (Amsoil) Over 600 hrs on the clock. Runs Purrrrrfect... .

Because the generator is used so randomly and infrequently, I wanted the stability provided by synthetics - and use Amsoil in our Honda 2000.

I always switch to synthetic as soon as broken in.

For some reason my generators use less fuel than my cheapskate fellow campers.
