Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Generator Wires?

Need your help 24valve guys. I'm swapping Cummins to burban but my alternator is newer than rest of the engine. Need to find colors for #1 and #2 wires connected to the alternator. They should be Black and Brown/Gray but which one is which? Would be great if someone could take a peek under the hood and mail me the colors.

Update, I think it's from -02 Ram. and the colors/numbers I got from -04 Ram diagram, only problem is there no any markings on the alternator side.

I have attached wiring diagrams from model years 2000, 2002, and 2004 Factory Service Manuals. Model years 2000 & 2002 are both using Dark Green & Dark Blue instead of the Black and Brown/Gray shown model year 2004.

Note that the connections shown model years 2000 & 2002 are reversed.

Although I have only included a small portion of each diagram, the 2000 & 2002 diagrams are the same except for component layout in the drawing and the mentioned connection reversal. Is it possible that polarity is not an issue? Perhaps some electrical engineer type person can help.

That said, I'll see if I can get a photograph from my model year 2000 Ram in a few hours.

You are right (I think) polarity is not an issue, it's just a coil where the wires are connected, or what you guys think?
