Anyone using the condensor gaurd from Geno's. It is very exposed and I've already bent some of the fins leaning over it. My biggest question is does it impeded the flow of air to the condensor and even the intercooler as far as that goes. ?

If you're talking about the sheet metal one that covers the top ~3" or so then yes I have one. It has saved me from the tideous task of straightening the fins every time I work on my truck. I don't see how it can impede any flow.

Like SELLUFISH, I have the Black one that covers the front. Easy install, protects top and front, does not impede air flow. I run screen on it in the summer and a cold front in the winter. It's not going to affect these things (the trucks cooling system). Hope this answers your questions.

The condensor guard was my first purchase for the 06'. Works great. Another 06' owner couldn't believe the difference between his unprotected condensor vs. mine.

My new truck from Carson last week came delivered with crushed fins. . now Im "talking" to the dealer asking that it be replaced... . currently still talking. . I want them to pay to have my local dealer fix it so I dont have to drive 500 miles for it. .

BTW the service guy tried to sell it to me,,, "that happens to all of them, the hood hits"... (yea right,, the hood is like 3 inches away)... then he said he would use a fin straightening tool... (yea right they are mashed flat,, the whole top row. . and there are several dents in the condensor) he told me "they get a little damage when they wash the vehicles with a pressure washer"... (funny the exhaust brake was just put on by them). . I didnt have the heart to point this out because of the employee staying late saturday night so I could get it on a sunday

ugh. . pita. . I was going to copy genos design and bend one out of stainless on my brake... . and I will get a new condensor before everything is done

I had one fabricated from 12 gauge 1/4" diameter holes on 3/8" staggered centers perforated steel, and it worked fine until that flatbed backed into me, but when I get the truck back I will have another made up.

The only thing I do not like, my 2005 has the plastic intercooler... I wanted to swap that out while I was installing the condensor guard!

I think I have posted on another thread that I have one that I am still debating to install. I just may make my own. One that surrounds the condensor with a screen to protect the center section. I just seems like there is an awful lot of flow area lost to the cross/square pattern. No numbers to back this up, but the intercooler is behind it too.
