I have the cup holder that mounts to the center console that you can get from Genos garage. Right now I have an automatic transmission so there is no conflict, but I am however considering switching to a 5 or 6 spd. manual transmission. Does anyone have this cupholder with a manual and does it get in the way of shifting?? Thanks for the help! Here is the link cup holder

The cup smoothie doesn't interfere with shifting on either the 5 or 6 speed UNLESS you do a body lift and have BobV's Fuller-eaton shift knob. A two inch body lift caused me to elongate the center's bolt holes in order to move it back. It needs an inch but I'm doing fine with less.

The 94-97 smoothie is different than the 98-02. The later has a indent I'll call it for the shifter to work. On the earlier years the smoothie might be hit by the shifter in 2nd, 4th, or possibly 6th. You'll need someone with a 94-97 to chime in and let you know it works.

The smoothie does not interfere with shifting. However, I can carry nothing larger than a soda can on the driver side of the smoothie. It's a huge improvement over the dash mounted slurpie launching device.

Like wcjp said it doesn't interfere. I found that it is tight but not a problem. Big cups and bottles have to go in the pass side hole if you plan to use 2nd, not a big deal. If I had to do it again I'd definately get another cup smoothie.
