Sorry about that, the drain valve screws off and yes some people can get there trucks started with out filling the filter, but its hard on the starter and some trucks dont reprime yery well!!! I work on big trucks for a living and we fill all our filters with clean fuel with out any problems

Relocator Attachment

Is the any spacers or bolts that are suppose to come with the relocator? If so can somebody tell me how thick the spacers are suppose be?

Prime loc

I got my prime loc installed but i need to know how long the bolts are that go through the stainless steel bracket that holds the fuel filter to the intake horn and is there i extension harness the hooks up to the water in fuel sensor, can i these items from Geno's?

nfox,

Back on page one of this thread I posted a picture of the parts that should be included with the kit.

The bolt sizes are as follows.

The hex head bolt #15 is 8mm x 160 and bolt #16 is 8mm x 100.

The four stainless steel button head cap screws (#5) are 3/8-16 x 3/4".

The two stainless steel button head cap screws (#18) are 1/4-20 x 1/2".

It also shows the aluminum spacers (#14) but doesn't say how long they are. I would guess they are about 3/4" long but not sure.

As for the water in fuel sensor wiring, they included two pieces of 16 gauge wire and four crimp on connectors to splice into the existing line.

I still have the installation instructions and could e-mail you a copy if you need them.

The parts description doesn't specify thread pitch on the metric bolts. I found the bolts that were included in my kit and there are 8 threads per 10 mm of length.

The aluminum spacers are 1/2 inch long with a 3/8 inch hole.

Howard, does the instruction for the Prime Loc show how to change out the filter? If it does I would like to see it. I had my prime loc installed awhile back but the directions do not cover changing the fuel filter.

Thanks

Frank

Frank,

There is no illustration as to how to change the filter but it is no different from changing it when it was in the stock location except it is much easier to get ahold of.

Disconnect the water in fuel sensor line, drain some fuel by pushing up on the valve then unscrew the filter. It comes off just like a spin on oil filter.

If you use the new "O" rings, make sure you get the old ones off.
