Has anyone installed these? They look like they will hold water behind them and cause rust. I would appreciate any input here.
Thanks, Larry.

Hi Larry. I have the full ss trim on and if i could go back i would not have done so. There are several reasons for this, one of which is the problem with water and rust which you mention, even though they have a covering over the lip which fits somewhat tightly. In the part of the country in which i live, water is a constant fact of life, and i have tried to compensate for this by sealing with silicone. i hope for success. there are other reasons: i had to cut/trim my mopar flaps on all wheels;the screws they send are dinky and not up to the task IMO;the screw holes do not wind up where they would cause the least damage to sheet metal (if i take mine off i would need some body work) but maybe i was not as careful as i should have been. anyhoo, they are the only things on my truck with which i am seriously unhappy. i don't know anything about just the eyebrow ones. Walt

Thanks Walt. I have a set of the eyebrows, but think I will send them back. I didn't get the full trim because I have front and rear flaps that came with my rb's. I thought about filling the inside void up with silicone, but don't think its worth the trouble. Thanks again.
Larry.

I got a set of the eyebrows. Thet do look good and I havn't had a problem yet. As far a rust, I worry more about my 6speed transmission. It appears to be iron instead of aluminum!

I have the full SS trim pieces and I wish I could send them back. They didn't fit right at all, IMO, and little dents showed up in them when I tried to push them on. The screws where so small they didn't look like they would hold anything. They were useless. I used rivets instead.

I took them off after only three days and now I have to try to fill those holes they left. If anyone wants a real deal on a set of the full fender ones, let me know!!

Kind of surpised by the above comments. I put the SS trim kit on some time ago. It was easy to install, and looks good. No problems whatsoever with fit. Although I am satisfied with it, not sure if I'd pay $75 for it again, but it's too late now. Water, what's that? #ad

Not sure

Anyone else have experience with the Geno's eyebrow trim? Installed photos, problems experienced after being installed for a while? Ordered a set, now not sure if I want to install them. Did a test fit on one and it doesn't seem quite right (I did try it on the proper wheel opening). TIA

David

David, I installed the eyebrows on my '97 and '00 3500, the fronts fit good but the rears require shimming and tweeking. I believe they fit the SWR good but the DRW opening is a tad bigger. I got them to fit pretty good. I put them on because of rock chips on the edge of fender (lip),it covered them and eliminated any more. But I run on some narly gravel in Montana.

I have got photos of the "00 but cant get them to down load. Good luck to you, Terry

Thanks Terry. I appreciate the information. We have a regional TDR evern this Saturday, so I'm hoping to find someone there with them installed on their 3500. I'll then be able to see up close and personal how well they fit.

My best,

David

i have them on my drw. there are some photos on readers rigs of mine. i did have to bend them a little but got them to fit good. i like em. i allways aim the house behind them and the water comes out the front when i wash the truck.

David,

and what i mean by bending is to make the bend on the pice a little tighter so when you push them on they go tight up against the truck. :) just so you know
