Attention Central California tdr

since no 11/17 meet lets do sac raceway/breakfast! instead

Yesterday Gerhardt Diesel Performance Center hosted our 1st Annual DynoDay event at our Jefferson, LA (New Orleans) facility. We had approximately 75 diesel trucks in attendance, of which 52 trucks competed on the Mustang 1,000 Chassis Dyno. Banks Power, BD-Power, U. S. Gear, K&N and HyperTech had factory reps in attendance, plus we had a surprise visit from a Bosch rep. Banks gave away a $500 gift certificate, U. S. Gear an exhaust brake, HyperTech a power programmer, K&N some filters and BD-Power a nice BD jacket. The day was great for the event with clear skys and great weather. BBQ was served for lunch. We had some girls, and a dog, from Hooters show up throughout the afternoon. The dog WILL NOT be back next year and we're not entirely sure why she was sent in the first place!

We suffered only 1 casuality; a Dodge blew the turbo and exhaust pipe on the dyne at 108 MPH, followed by a fire under the truck along with a ton of smoke. Everything was under control within 30 minutes and we resumed the festivities. At the end of the day, some of the guys did some pretty healthy burnouts in the parking lot to the approval of everyone left.

Following are the results of the trucks winning awards. Be sure to keep an eye out on our website at www.dynoday.com for photos and a complete recap of the day within the weeks to come!

First Place Dodge 351 HP

Second Place Dodge 337 HP

First Place Ford 280 HP

Second Place Ford 279 HP

Same here Ramboy, I did everything but tattoo it to my forehead. My wife STILL plans something that was to big to worm out of:mad:     . I went so far as to write it in big letters in her ever present calander book, that I was not to be included in anything starting on Friday evening thru Sunday evening. I would have been better off erecting a billboard at the entrance to our neighborhood. She would have seen it EVERYDAY, TWICE to FIVE times a day   .

Oh well next year... ... ... ...

I almost did not get to go. But jetted over at the last minute, got there late but better late than never. Great event. When it is time to do some more perfomance mods the the truck that is where I will be heading.
