Get a New Front Bumper ASAP

I saw a wreak the other day. A new SRW 3500 hit the back of a minivan. The minivan had just scapes on the rear bumper. The front bumper of the Dodge was toast. The grill and lights were also damaged, due tot he front bumper twisting around. The trucks bumper looked like it was made of tin foil. I know my bumper isnt very good either, but this looked down right scary.

I saw somewhere that they were trying to make the new trucks more Ricer Friendly and Pedestrian Friendly when it comes to front end and head-on collisions. Sounds like that is the compromise. . . wimpy bumper



What ever happened to the 5mph bumper regs???

i wonder if it is possable to slip in a piece of 1/4" "C" channel behind the bumper without too much work? that would make a sturdy bumper and the factory bumper will become the bumper cover

Check out WAAG's bumper guards. A H-D version would work, and look decent also.

About 700 pounds of reinforced concrete poured behind that bumper would help too. Need better springs though.
