The dealer called this morning and said my new rig is in. I went down to check it out to make sure it has everything I ordered and it's all their. I just have to take care of some banking stuff and Friday at 10:00am it's mine:D :D .

I can not wait to compare the difference between the standard output/47re to the high output/48re. I will let you all now my observations as soon as I can.

Also, I love how the window sticker says it's custom built for "Rosco".

I think I ordered it on the 27th of January so roughly 4 weeks to get it. However, There was a 2500 quad cab longbed with a V10 that came in on the car carrier with mine and I guess the poor guy ordered it in mid November.

The dealer called me yesterday. They said i can pick it up today.

Oo. 3500 HO, QC, 6spd, laramie,4wd,DRW,Dark garnet. Even with the great deals and incentives i still have to come up with some big $$$

I got the new beast yesterday. I put around 60 miles on it so here are my first observations.

I don't think the HO is louder in the cab compared to the SO as some have said, But I do think is has a different sound. It is not a big difference however it is noticable.

I will not juice it up until I put 500 miles on it and change the oil but from normal driving it seems to have more power however, It's tough to tell because I have different rearend gears.

The 48RE does shift different. It seems the TC locks up different and the shift points also appear like they have been changed.

I know you have heard most of this before but it's my . 02.

I put about 100 miles on my 3500 today. Its runs great. Its cruises at 85mph like a caddy. You can fit a lot under the rear seat if you pack it right. Now i have to come up with some ideas on how to mount my cb and the brake box. It is a pain to keep clean. :D
