Christmas 2010 Party

Christmas Party

An idea for a get together. Wodering if there would be an interest to have a Saturday night at the races sometime in July or August. Would be a Colorado National Speedway (I-25 at the Erie exit). Get the Hospitality area, burgers and dogs and drinks, relax and watch the racing - close up. Park the trucks together. Get the Ford and GM folks too. Figure we would need at least 30 to make it really work. Track might even be willing to do diesel only circle drags at intermission if we had 12 to 18 trucks that wanted to race. If there's enough interest, I'll work with the track. Chime in with your thoughts.

2 weeks and only 1 reply - not much interest so I'll chalk it up as a no-go. If anyone has a thought on something to do, start a new thread. We need to get something going before the oil companies, speculators, arabs, and Obama get the price of diesel so high we have to park the trucks.

Hey, Dave I would be up for going. Today is the first I've seen this. Maybe I should check the specific area more often or watch the new posts closer. Let me know how this works out or if there is something else I can help with. Things have been getting busy with my work. We are putting in a line to make those new aluminmum pints with the reclosable tops you see in the Miller Lite commercials. I have been asked to head up this project in our plant and am doing more traveling and attending toooo many meetings. Talk to you later.

We need to get the message out to all the CO members that they can subscribe to this sub forum in general, not just a thread and get notifications anytime a new thread starts up in this section.

Just an FYI, Truck fest will be in 2 weeks. There will be more than 30 trucks, that's for sure. Starts on the 5th of Aug with a sled pull in Brighton. Then a dyno day at ATS on Sat, then racing all day Sunday at Bandimere. You don't have to participate, just come out and watch the action. If you love diesels. This is the place to be. Oo.

If it were in late Sept, I'd be there because we're going to the Rocky Mountain NP at that time. Really sounds good.

Any one still interested in having a GTG? I moved here around 3 months ago and boy it's tough to find any GTGs around here. I thought it would be better than Calif, but seems like everyone is too busy here. :( Too sad, I miss being around diesel heads and all the tech talk. I am up for having one before it SNOWS!! LOL.

You going to change your location in your avatar?

Agreed, everyone is too busy (60+ hours a week at work for me) and the GTGs and Dyno Days are few and far between. I'm lucky to recognize one or two members from the social years, way back when, in the before time.
