Looks like the oil change in the transmission didn't do anything for the first gear problem. . :-( I'm going to have to pull this thing down and go thru it. Has anyone here had any dealings with Standard Transmission and Gear? I'm going to have to buy parts somewhere and was wondering if anyone has had any problems with them or their stuff? You can reply to this Email address instead of posting here if you like. Racer_Brown@hotmail.com
Also, I'll look at the clutch while I have the transmission out so what is the best clutch setup, both price and quality wise, to use in this truck? This thing is getting to be more expensive than the race car!
And finally, I found a shop that has the front end alignment shims to correct the camber problem that I have. They are going to check it to see how far it's off and then I'll buy the shims from them and install them myself. Hopefully that will take care of that problem. See Ya!... ... ... Ken

I wonder if we should try to do a group purchase on their rebuild kits. If so, I'm in. I've spoken with them and found them very knowledgable.

One other guy from Ontario Canada was also interested in getting parts from them.

I bought an input shaft for my Getrag from Standard Trans and Gear. I will not hesitate to call them first next time, they were great. I thought I would save a buck by sourcing out the bearings and seals separately, yeh maybe a buck. You may need an input shaft also most have worn bearing surfaces that I've seen, they had one in stock much less $ than my dealer. Also,I had alot of people tell me to swap the Getrag out for an NV4500 but at the dealership where I work I saw alot less Getrag problems than NV problems, I still think the Getrag is a better trans.

Standard Trans has a great rep, and have been super knowledgable when I've dealt with them. If memory serves... accodring to a recent tdr article on clutches, the stock '93 sachs clutch is one of the very best...
