Ok, I know it is wrong to read the instructions to anything, but even after resorting to that, I still have a question for all of you getrag/nv4500 change around veterans. When you go to remove the old getrag, how do you get the shift lever to clear the floor?
I first took off the t-case, then went for the transmission. When I was sliding the getrag off, I realized that it was impossiable for me to lower the transmission enough to clear the floor. How do you guys tackle this problem? Do you take the cover off the top of the getrag? Do you just go ahead and cut the floor? Or... . do you
gas axe the lever?
