I have been told that I can change my automatic from a automatic to a manual and that I need to get a transmission from a truck of the same year which would make that a Getrag. Another person on here said that he would sell me his Getrag because he was going to install a NV6500. What should I do? Will these NV's bolt into my truck as well?

I have been looking at doing the upgrade on 5 speeds for a while. I can get a kit to go from a Getrag to a NV4500 5 speed for around $2000 - $2500. I have to change bell housings, clutch, transmission, and a few misc. parts. For a bit more money and parts I can move on up to a NV5600 6 speed. I have also thought about changing the W-250 to a manual, but like having the auto for some kinds of work. If you are serious about investing the $$$ I would just go for the 6 speed. That way you have the best you can get. Check out www.quad4x4.com because they offer some conversion kits to the NV4500. Hope this helps.

Thanks again for the help. Where did you get the A pilliar gauge pods for your truck? I went to your website and saw it on your mods list. Everyone here keeps telling me they dont make one for my truck.
 
A-pillar

I got some of my gauges from www.dieselpage.com The Autometer part number for a 2 gauge pod is 15198. I like it quite a bit. The W-350 has some gauges mounted on the dash above the wait to start light. They are hard to see and in the way. I will replace the assembly with a pillar mount setup. Hope this helps.
