I was reading posts about filter kits for these plates. I was not looking at a filter but rather to remove the plate to look at the gears. Also the side filler plug is siezed and I need to drill it out, so I could use this opening to remove the chips.
The major question is if all the bolts holding this plate can be removed without dropping an intermediate shaft in the transmission. I know some of the exposed bolts hold bearings and shafts in place and I do not want to damage the thing just to look at it.
