Well it started well... that is till I opened the case up. I found the input gear & cluster gear shot. The input has a few nicks in the edges of the teeth, nothing that wouldn't clean up. The cluster has a total of 7 teeth with chunks missing, the rest of the teeth are scared badly. So I ordered new gears from Man-Trans in Florida. The magnet in the case and the trans filter caught a lot of filings and the pieces of gear teeth, I think that is what saved it. The P. O. said he had it rebuild, I would like to meet this person and ask them if they had stock in a RTV company, because it had bits of RTV every where inside, to include the bearings. Any way I hope to finnish it up next weekend, it would be nice to drive it and not hear the gnashing of tore up gear teeth.
