Getrag shift lever

I am looking for a shift lever for my 92 Getrag. The rubber inside has deteriorated and the shifter is loose on the insert. Pull hard and it will come off.

It appears the part number for the shifter is 442833. Question: Will bent shifter from a 93 (part number 52078199) work in place of the straight shifter of the 92?

1993 bent shifter bolted to the shifter stub sticking out of the top of the trans. 1992 and earlier had a threaded stub. Either style of stub is available aftermarket and are interchangeable.
