just pulled my new 93 in garage today cause snow stopped work and i was all done plowing with my 92 that still has 90w in getrag. i changed the fluid and rigged up a twin stick shifter on tc, filled fluid through shifter, easy to get apart would have been nice to have another hand to put in snap ring. My real question is the shifter it seamed loose when i bought it and i found out if i pulled straight up it would have fallen off. the long shaft has a female rectangular end that looks like it has rubber in it that is pretty worn and is slid over a short rectangular shaft that bolts to trans. my 92 has a solid straight shaft but this one is angled and seams to be broke. wondering if i should order a 92 or does the rubber really make a difference?

Remove as much of the old "rubber" as you can. Fill shifter with urethane and put together and let cure. I believe they used this to limit noise and vibrations in the shifter?? My 93 is like this and my buddies 92 as well and both are angled shifters.

I am interested in your twin stick transfer case conversion? I am working on that myself. . i got a jb kit for a chevy 205 and i planned to adapt it to the dodge set up how did you do yours? any pics?. . how hard was it to remove the rails and grind the detents?

Thanks

thanks for advice what urethane did you use? as for twin stick i bought a kit off ebay for a chevy and used stock pivot point had to heat and bend levers straight to fit in stock hole then make some about 10" linkage. i didn't remove detents but looked straight forward. i was just looking for 2lo and my old linkage was rough. i could probably take some piks this weakend.

so you didn't modify your factory 205 shift rails?. . I have read you need to to make it work correctly?. . mummn. . im interested in your pics if you get a chance. .

thanks

We used windshield urethane in a chalking tube. I believe it was 3M brand. You can get it at any auto parts store.

Make sure you leave it in where it is warm for a few days to cure. I put a window in a machine and it was still wet inside the next day when I tried to trim excess off!
