Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Getrag -vs- New Venture

Just wondering what the major differences are between the two?? The advantages of either?? Is it possible to put a Getrag in a 2nd Generation?? Thanks, Marc

if you are asking which is better than go with the nv my boss has a getrag and it has been replaced 3 times and he doesn't even pull anything. in my opinion there is no comparison of the two trannys.

Plenty of 1st gen guys putting NV's on there rigs to replace the getrag (or wishing they could). Kinda like many 2nd gen 5 gear guys wouldn't mind stuffing in the 6 gear.



The NV is definately the better of the two.

If you are going to replace your auto with a 5 spd go with the NV4500 a much better trans than the getrag your 2 gen would spit that getrag out the first time you get on it

If you need part # for the parts to convert let me know and I will PM them to you I have done a lot of conversions with 5 and 6 spds
