taking her in tomorrow at 35, 992 miles for a few things, and getting them to do the 30k miles transmission checkup. I have had an EZ on the truck since 10k miles, and I usually leave it on when I go to the stealer, they dont notice it. Will they raise the transmission line pressure for me, or is that something they don't do? Anybody else have the dealer do it? Thanks for any help.

I bet you can't even get them to put a gauge on it!

No they can't adjust it without getting permission by phone.

Sorry I'm so sarcastic but they earned it.

I have ignored every post about automatics since 99, then in December I bought one. Having been in the Auto Trans business for several years (I still build Chevy Racing Trans's now and then) I was wondering, Is raising the line pressure something they have been doing on the stock Dodge auto trans, with no other mods? Will this alone give a little more holding pressure to the Lockup Converter?

I don't know if any of ya'll read my post about "trans shift", but I did take it to my stealer and told them about the problem. They suggested turning up the line pressure for a firmer shift. Reality is that the line pressure was raised and the only thing that changed was my shift points:eek: :eek: ! The transmission shifts at a much higher RPM now! Now, I got to take it back and put it back to stock.

I guess the only way to fix my First to Second "lazy" shift is to install a shift kit??

Hey does anyone know how to tweak up the line pressure, because next time I adjust my bands I could tweak it a little and will it harm anything?

LOL, there are two adjustments on the side of the valve body. One is line pressure and the other is light throttle shift point. Sounds like they adjusted the wrong one. :rolleyes: And this was a dealer. :( Take it back and tell them to adjust the "other" screw. Better yet, take it to another dealer and have them fix the previous dealers mistake. I personally wouldn't want the dealer to mess with the line pressures. Idiots would probably blow out the lip seal. :{
