I am getting POD's and want to know what to expect.
A brief history. I had stock rebuilt injectors and a turned up pump in October, 2006 when the pump tore itself apart. I had a shop rebuild the pump and they claim to have set it to 190 HP settings. However, it does not feel as strong as the pump was prior to failure. Possibly because the pump that failed was turned up too far.
Anyway, the timing is set to 1. 6 mm and everything else is stock. The shop that is sending the injectors says they are shipping with middle thickness washers (040) and these are the ones to use.
The shop said to see how the transmission feels because often they have to turn the pumps down for these injectors. They also claim that excessive smoke is not a problem.
Do you all think I will be happy with these injectors with the truck as it is, or will I need to make improvements to my exahust, intake, turbo, etc?
