getting rid of the debris collector over center hump on '06??

when I bought my '06 I was looking forward to having just a flat carpet area over the center hump ahead of the front seats I was also excited to have the massive cup hold that folds out, well I got neither on my '06 it has that stupid console thing that just collects dirt and crap, it looks like the carpet stops under it, anyone got any good ideas on how to get rid of this??

This doesn't help much,but I test drove an '06 auto which had the flat hump and dash mounted cup holders. As far as the dreaded grey seat covers go, Marathon Seat Covers offers a nice fitting cover with optional pockets in a vast variety of colors and fabrics. Good folks.
