i got tired of people flashing the brites when meeting my 03 3500 and 5th wheel so built a set of blocks that pin in between the overload springs and the stops to keep the lights down, if you do it make sure you can slide them out easily when not loaded as they will shake your dentures out runing around empty. i no longer have the truck so i cant get pics but we put a set on my brother in laws truck and im sure he is reading these posts, mayby he can post some. if not he will be here az with us in a few weeks and we can do it then---rich

I went on the cheap and counted the turns that I adjusted the lights down with the trailer on, then when unhitching just whip out the T-20 screwdriver and turn the opposite direction back up. Works perfect evey time.

I got tired of the flashing lights as well, so I put in a set of air bags. Now the truck is always level. I had realized I would need them, I would have bought a 2500 and not a 3500. My '01 2500 had overloads on the spring packs, but the newer 2500s don't, so I went with the 3500, as it has overloads. fooled me !

i cant believe anyone would just adjust the lights, thats way too easy, if you cant spend3 or 4 hours and skin your knuckles a couple of times it doesnt seem worth doing. as for air bags i too went that route with a 98 2500 and it did work but i had several small problems with the system, air leaks after a couple of years and their cheap brackets needing tightening after every long trip over bad roads, the 03 3500 with overloads rode better than the 98 2500 with the recomended 5 psi runing empty--rich

I had an experience the other evening with my vehicle. I was following a small car on city streets - stopping at intersections, etc. After a few stops, the vehicle pulls off the road, then pulls in behind me and turns lights on bright.

My tall truck was shining my lights through their windshields at the intersections and lighting up every occupant in the car, but that wasn't my fault.

Only thing I have is 245 19. 5" tires which are just a couple inches taller than the stock.

They did back off after they realized my lights were not on bright when I was behind them.

That's one thing that has held me back from doing an HID conversion. I think the lamp height is too tall for HID's especially when stopped behind someone.

I used to turn my headlights off at stoplights on Saturday nights, especially behind the cute girls, when the lights were blinding them in their rear views. ;) At the very least it would get a nice "thank you", a wave, and a smile. :-laf Alas, I'm now in my 30's, no one cruises anymore, and I refuse to be the creepy, old, dude up town on Saturday night... :D Now I just spend Saturday nights at the truck pulls.

I wonder what Jordan (JKloppe), who has done an awesome HID retrofit in a lifted truck, has to say about this??

Dunno, but I experience tall lights behind me at stops from time to time while in our Charger thats pretty bad. Reminds me of being pulled over and the cop shining his spot in my mirror.
