I have a 92 Dodge 3/4 ton 2wd. I have installed chrome steel 98 rims on my truck. The problem that I have is that I cannot use the 98 lug nuts, due to the stud size being bigger that the 92 studs. I need to figure out how I can get a flared out lug nut that will hold on the center caps for my 98 rims.

I am hoping that I am not the only person that has thought of doing this. I like the way the truck looks with these rims on there, I just need to put the center caps on somehow.

I could use any suggestions that anybody might have.

Thanks.

Lug Nutz

Hello,

I recommend getting the lug nuts from dodge, they (all 32 of em) will cost around 80 dollars total @ around 2 dollars each. You can order them from the dealer like I did or somewhere else. They are 1/2" thread size rather than the 9/16th" size the 2nd gens have, and have the shoulder that is built for the chrome center caps. I did what you did except sold the wheels after a bit because I realized that the back spacing is 4&5/16th" and the stock b. S. is only 4" so your wheels will be just a hair over 1" narrower over stock. I offed the rims already and reinstalled my old generic chrome rims (cheap) but kept the lug nuts and dodge center caps (which are about 100 dollars each from dodge to replace) and they look very nice. oh here is the dodge part # for the lug nut: 06034834
