yes, the plug in on back of the pump. About the conversion, it really is expensive if u have a shop do it. I've heard 7. 5 K and 14. 5K. The 14. 5 k is crazy. But all of there stuff is crazy high, but i'm not naming names. Also there's another guy named Joe in Alabama. I don't think he's a TDR member but he has done plenty of these conversions. I don't want to put is number on the web, but if anbody is interested, i'll give the number. I'll explain in detail what i have done and which way is best to do the conversion. I don't mind helping anybody with what i know about this project. The main thing is to help the CTD owner. We all gotta stick together right. I just don't want to say something that isn't correct. I should be done in two weeks.

My truck had the same exact miss you are talking about. It would only do it when warmed up. It went away when I replaced the injectors and their little copper washers. I had replaced the connector tubes earlier. My "older" 98. 5 had connector tubes that weren't re-usable. I also replaced an ailing lift pump. Anyway, when I looked at the old copper washers that go under the injectors, I could see that one or two of them were tarnished on part of them from the inside edge to the outside edge.

I think, for some reason, the injectors weren't seated properly. When the right combination of temperature and thermal expansion was reached, they were leaking at the copper washers.

You might try a new set of those copper washers. Be sure to torque the injectors back in using the proper sequence. Although I can't remember what the sequence is. Is it fuel lines first then the hold downs, or the other way around?

Also, pull the connector tubes and check the tips for any damage. Removing the injectors without backing the connector tubes all the way clear can damage the connector tubes.

I was told by Scheid Diesel that three injectors were bad. So I replaced all six. The fuel tubes looked fine and were all pulled back far enough to clear the injector bodies with room to spare. I inspected the tubes closely with a tiny mirror and a bright micro light. After the install, torqueing in order, etc. no change at all. Same ole, Same ole. So I dont think its the injectors or anything around them at this point. Maybe I'll end up coming back to them but for now I'm satisfied their OK.
