i have my di pricol fuel gauge hook up direct to the the vp. iv had no probs. been like that for 8 months now.

Hey ramman2u,

where are you tapping you fuel system for your reading?

Are you using a snubber, needle valve or any type restriction?

What are you using for fuel line to the gauge?

Thanks JJ

Got the hose that hooks straight to the shrader valve in today. Install was easy. No other valves in between VP44 and DiPricol. Pressure read about 10 psi idle and 0 psi WOT :--) . So I changed the fuel filter and it went up to 11 psi idle and 6psi WOT. Still not where LP should be but I'm probably going to switch over to the FASS sometime soon.

No isolator, easy install, no extra valves, no pulsing!! Oo.

JL,

That Geno's hose is 18" long, right. How are getting the rest of the way to the Gauge?

I used some 1/8th teflon line that I snagged from the scrap box at work. I'm not sure where you can pick up 1/8th inch line any where else. My gauge did not come with any line at all.

Anybody else know where you can pick up line?

jjohn, i have my gauge hooked up just like JL has his , right off the vp with that hose from genos , yes the hose is 18" long but i use the 1/8" line that came with my gauge to hook it all up (so its rubber hose to 1/8 tubeing then right to the gauge)no needle valves or anythig. i get no pulsing but, i think thats because of the shrader valve that the rubber hose hook up to takes the pulsing away kinda acts like a needle valve. JL i think i seen some 1/8" plastic tube at napa over next to the gauges ,i bet any auto part store would have it,just make sure its safe for fuel.

I went diesel direct to the Gauge for now… but will try to reinvent the isolator antifreeze feed line. It appears to be what was having issues. I used brass fittings to a 3/16th hose barb on the gauge. From the gauge I ran thick walled Gates 1/8th inch rubber fuel line (clamped) inside of a Belden Protective sleeve made of woven nylon and Silicone coating (used for High temp shielding of spark plug wires normally) the sleeve is also clamped over the hose and brass fittings. Paranoid… Just a little. Sure is working well though.
