turbo drive pressure reaction?

As you all know there are choices for upgrading our fuel systems 2nd gen through 3rd gen. Many of you have implemented the Walbro system on your trucks but us 05 guys have had to wait because of the intank lift pump. Today Glacier Diesel has come through with an outstanding system that will keep our CP3's fueled and cooled. My truck is slightly modified, two weeks ago i installed an Auto Meter FP gauge and was seeing 9 psi at idle and 6psi at throttle obviously not enough for much growing room let alone what i thought was enough fuel for a healthy CP3. The kit is the highest quality fittings, hoses and connecters. After installing the system I'm now seeing 22psi :D at idle and after bumping up my programming to performance, and the injectors don't forget, I CAN NOT pull the pressure down below 17psi and only for a second before it bounces back up to 20psi. I would be more than happy to answer any questions about this system. Not a big typer. I think its great and i'm very pleased Oo. Oo. Oo.

sounds great, so Glacier is now ready for the 'in tank' setup? how can I get one?, how is the cost?, how was the install? my truck isn't setup too much different than yours, when the time comes I will probably do the SBC , how is the Superchips working out? , I was going to get that but decided on the EdgewAtt, always wondered if I was making the right choice

Glacier Diesel has a website and they are an advertiser on here. Cantact Rich for pricing. The install went smoothly you just have to take some time to do it, its not just snip here drill there and your done. This system enables us intank guys to have a built in backup, all the original fuel lines and pump are still in place, if the pump fails you simply unplug and reconnect the original sending unit and away you go the checkvalve on the hardline is the key to this. I'm surprised at how darn good the flashpaq is. Its timing and duration and the power curve is very smooth. I'll be on the dyno next week for some numbers but I know a stock 06 with injectors put down 492 :D

Just finished my install of the 391 kit yesterday. Went from around 7. 5 psi stock to the 17-19 range at idle. Quiet? Yes, even quieter than the stock lift pump. Best mod I have done so far I think. Good stuff and quite reasonably priced.

I can't beleive with all the complaing #@$%! out there about dodge fuel systems, we have a great setup available and only a few are talking about the Galcier diesel walbro system. 4 posts so far c'mon 05 guys

Jeff,

You'll have to add a pick-up tube and an inline filter to the 2nd gen kit to make it work. Sent one out yesterday. Give us a call if you need more information.

I've been running a self fabbed setup with the same pump for 7000+ miles at 19-20 psi running thru 3 fuel filters. No problems...

Just dynoed at Dynomite with new upgrades. With just injectors and Super B I put down 365. Now with Superchips, Walbro fuel system and HTT 62-14 I put down 507hp and 938ft lbs Oo. Fuel pressure dropped to 18psi then recovered almost instantly back to 21psi. Thanks Glacier Diesel and Dynomite for everything. I'm bombed out for awhile

I wish you guys would include your signatures so we can see what you have. Sounds pretty good though.

Actually they are there. ;) They only show up in the first post you make on the page. If you go up higher in the thread you will see them. :D

I don't have the in-tank setup but I think the Walbro kit from Glacier for my 04. 5 is excellent. Did someone say quiet?? Had to crawl under the truck when I bump started it, after install, just to see if it was running. I have the 392 kit and see 22-25psi at idle and doesn't ever drop below 20psi.

Yeah, I remember now. I saw it on the other site too.

Rich - I'm very glad I was able to move (jurry rig) my stock pump and filter to the frame last time the stock LP went south. I'm glad because I actually had the patience and hoped a product like the one you've created would come out. I've visited your site and have a few questions.

I'd like to place one of your 392 systems by the tank (frame rail where stock LP & filter are presently located) preferably one that will leave room to grow my HP addiction (see sig). I don't want anything in the engine bay from the fuel system other than a hose supplying the VP. Will I be able to adapt (Item # : 3929852) as I've described? I like the spin on filter systems for the 03 - 06 your site shows but, is there anything in the works for a 2nd Gen "frame located" unit. Possibly a full 392 system + filter set up for frame location? :p If so I'd like to wait before I purchase, I just cant see running all the big lines & powerful pump into the puney stock filter system when the possibility for an easy to "spin-off" alternative could be available. . . ;)

It's great to see a pump work so well but I have to tell all of you guys something.

As per a Bosch engineer I talked to at the Indiana nationals in 03 when the 3rd gen trucks wa just coming out, I was talking to him about a lot of people were putting big pressure pumps on and getting 20 to 25# readings and he said it was too much for all of the inj. pumps... . 15 psi is the max for all pums otherwise damage will occure internally.

I have a 7# pusher going to a mechanically adjustable regulator that I set at 15 for Idle... ... with the 2 pumps, it is able to do over 20 but the flow isincreased. I tow heavy and never see below 13 when pushing 40 psi on the boost. .

So put a regulator after that pump and set it to 15psi and you won't have a problem.
