Sooo... .

Looky at just showed up today. what can i say, the DPP/FASS pump in quite loud and if I can get the performance from a little EFI pump, Well then, who am I to complain. .

As well I do believe the 2 micron filter should be standard on every HPCR, So I opted for that as well.

I have no installed these yet, I plan on installing saturday sometime.

But I will review the kit from a pre-install perspective.

I am very impressed with the install manuals and the photo they contain. Very good description of what goes where and etc, etc. The parts are seperated nicely, and the install is looking to be quite an easy one. I mean it, really, I mean like 1 beer if you (like me) already have a custom system anyway. I will be able to just R&R the 150gph Pump, splice in the relief valve and add a return line... Done, that simple.

Speaking of the relief valve, wow, this is cool, Shim here, shim there. Want 40 psi, got it, want 20 psi, done.

Anyway, I will psot when I get it on. I have the valve set for about 26-28psi right now, I hope to see if more PSI helps me little Modded CP3...

Here are a few pics... BTW - The quality of the parts, fabulous!

You are putting it on Saturday? Are you going to put it on at the GDOA meet in Edwardsville????? Maybe we could help/watch the fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a plan to me... I will have some of it done already though...

Richards kits are top notch. I recieved mine from him yesterday and I gotta tell ya`ll, after pieceing a kit together for my dad`s truck when the Walbro pump was first presented as an option, this kit is awesome. No running around finding this fitting and that fitting, or worring about getting a regulator that will work. If any of you are looking for a quailty upgrade to your fuel system, check out the GDP kits, you won`t be disappointed.

Hey Tomeygun,

Looks like the first pic is this kit.

What about that second pic you posted? I don't see that on their site. Is that pump external mounted or in the tank?

At 100gph with less than 1 psi pressure differential I would think their 2 micron filter set up could be used even on a stock lift pump. Looks good- Thanks for the post.

But I only bought the parts I needed. Like the filter housing adapter, I did not need, I already have one from my current pump kit...

This is an externally mounted pump. Little sucker too! But everyone seems to loike them, so thats why I gave one a try

Hey Tommey!

It's time for a pump upgrade now that I've got the TST/EZ and SPS 66 installed, and I've been going back and forth between the GDP kit and Fass 150. The only reservation of going with the walbro setup is the mileage gain some people report with the FASS due to the air separation. Did you notice any fuel economy change when first adding the FASS?

Thanks, Eric

Sad to say, I was a cheap dude and only bought the DPP/FASS 2 - which is the pump only. So I dont know about the full FASS - I would MUCH rather had the full FASS - because it uses a bypass regulation system. My pump is internally regulated... NOT GOOD in my opinion, to much fuel whipping around in the base...

anyway, I will report back when its on

Richards kits are top notch I love mine (easy install also), his customer service and availability for questions are exemplary also. Talked to him yesterday and he didn't mention that the 2mic kit was available, looks like I will talk to him again soon. Tomeygun do you know which trucks have the engine mounted apps?

Thats the funny thing, There is no set models that have the apps under the battery or on the engine... .

I think most 03-04 sticks have it under battery, But then again I have saw an 04 6-spd with it on the motor.

6 in one, half dozen in the other

this pump has me interested. . what are the threads on the in/out on that walbro pump??

i have access to loads of -6 thru -12 hose scraps from work so i can use that for my plumbing [-10 pickup to strainer/filter, pump, -8 to stock filter, -8 to boost ref regulator, -8 to 2u filter, -8 or -6 to cp3 inlet. . ]

Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. I talked to Richard today for the first time, Hell-of-a-nice guy. He is almost finished with a 2-micron mound that will mount down on the frame. Nobody order one yet 'cuz I want one 1st!! :p :p

My dads 03 has the apps on the engine...

I agree on Richards kits being awesome as well as his customer serivice. Im very happy with my kit. Like Tomeygun said if you want more pressure, its no big deal. Im going to bump mine up a bit and hopefully I can get a stage 2 cp3 to see how it all works.

Would the 2 micron filter kit mentioned in this thread be to restrictive if I have the factory lift pump in the tank? Truck is stock... Thanks

One thing I want to note here is that I am happy with my FASS pump-only system, Other than it is a bit loud...

I will have my system so that I can swap in/out the walbro and the DPP/FASS pump very easily. That way I can get very comparitive tests as to see if:

1) which is better at 600hp - HP wise and PSI wise

2) does the DPP/Fass pump quiet down with a bypass regulator used?

till later... ... ... ...

I don't see how. They claim at 100 gph there is less than a 1 psi differential. Probably due to its size.

Looks like a nice set up and may be a good idea with the suspected crud being flushed out of delivery systems going to ULSD.
