well i installed the glacier 391 pump kit on my 05 ram about a month ago. it has always stayed around 17-18psi. i have no programmer or anything so on full throttle i would only drop like 2psi, i also have the 2micron filter kit. the guage reads post filters so i know what i get at the cp3 pump. i took my first 400 mile drive with it and about 260 miles in i fuel pressure kept dipping below 10psi on some light hills, no trailer and nothing in bed so truck was empty. then all of a sudden the guage went to zero. but the truck ran fine uphills and all. when i pulled into rest area i opened the door and i could hear the pump had a very loud whinning to it, normally cant hear it running. i plugged the factory pump back in and had about 4-6 psi with that so i used that to get me home. ill be calling richard at glacier monday morning and ask him about it. do you guys have any ideas as to what it could be. maybe just a bad pump or somthing??? i never hear of anyone killing the walbro pumps though. thanks.

I have had no problems with mine... . I dont have the extra filters so my pressure is 20psi idle and 16-18 wot with all my goodies... . If you call that number Richard will answer it is his cell, his customer service is the BEST... . He is a good guy to talk too... Wesley

By chance did you purchase and install the optional pump PRE-FILTER ? To stop any particles from the fuel tank getting into the pump and possibly causing damage etc.

i thought of that so just before i undid the line at the pump. sucked threw the hose and almost drowned in diesel. lol. so i wouldnt think so. i also tried the pump again and its whinning pretty loud. you can stand in front of truck with motor running and here the pump. .

GDP low pressure

I do not know about the rest of the country, but in some areas on east texas and lousiana, we are having problems with algea. It will stop up screens, filters and any thing else along the way. So check your tank, filters and then test the pump. Oh by the way we are seeing algea in gasoline also.

Another problem is rust and other metal found in all fuel. Hopes this helps.

well i spoke with richard today about the issue i am having with the pump. i did a flow test. he said it should pump about 1 gallon a minute. mine pumped 3/4 a gallon in a minute. and the pump still had a loud whinning to it. so he's sending out a new pump for me. i wish all companies were this good with customer service.
