Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Hello everyone, this is my first post. I have to say what a pleasure it's been reading all the information that you folks here at TDR discuss.
First I have give credit to bellyscrapper and Tommygun for their insite and knowledge in buying these awsome trucks. Long story short, a couple of months ago a friend at work mentioned this site and I started reading all your posts and doing some research. I owned a dodge before but it was 1500 gaser and I darn near burned the transmission towing, at the time, my new 8000 lbs trailer. In 2001 I bought a 2500HD 8. 1 to tow with, but I nearly went into debt with all the gas that it sucked down. So then I turned my sights back to Dodge.
I was in the final process of buying a new 2004. 5 CTD at another dealer for invoice when I read bellyscrappers post about "$1000 below invoice and I thought that it may be too good to be true.
Well I called Richard Hines at Gresham Dodge, (503) 666-2277 and mentioned what I had read. Now I have ordered vehicles in the past and without a doubt he was the best. Without any negotiation he sold me my truck at 1000 below invoice as bellyscrapper stated. I can't say enough good things about this deal. I ordered it yesterday; 2004. 5 2500 SLT 4X4 Quad Cab SWB, cloth with several options for $31457.
