Glass on towing mirror FALLS OFF!!

Just a heads up to those of you with the towing mirrors. Yesterday when I closed the drivers side door, the small convex mirror fell off and broke when it hit the ground. A few months ago, I noticed the large mirror was loose, so i took it off, and glued it back on. I didnt even think of checking the small mirror... You might want to check the glass if you have these.





Dodge wants $204 for an individual mirror, or $245 for both mirrors.



I need the drivers side. If anybody need a passenger side mirror, I will go halves on the kit.

Try Binswanger Glass - they advertise that they can replace just about any automotive mirror glass. It'll probably be a lot cheaper!

Burco, Inc. makes an exact replacement (Burco P/N 3901). You need to find a glass shop that handles their mirrors and have it ordered. It'll be way less than a new mirror from D/C!



The Burco replacements are also available with heating elements if you want heated, non-remote-adjustable towing mirrors.

I lost the big glass out of mine somewhere in NY when I drove accross last, so if anyone finds it I'd like it back.

My drivers mirror did the exact same thing about a month ago ... . slam... crash. I found my local dealer for Burco but they couldn't find the part. I will call them back tomorrow.

I lost my convex mirror a couple thousand miles after bumper-bumper ran out. I was able to get one at local glass/mirror shop for about $20.

I stopped at a couple of dealers on my trip, none would replace as a warranty item, they said if its missing or broken they can't replace under warranty. At the first place I got pretty hot, I'm sure I scared away a few potential customers with my rant on "Why do you offer a warranty if you won't honor it" or "This thing has 30k miles on it and its falling apart and you won't honor the warranty". They stuck to their guns and turned me away, with a few more choice comments I took my leave.



No foul language either, at least not till I got back in the truck.

I just had my Burco PN 3901 installed yesterday and it is, indeed the correct part. Drivers side, convex mirror. $25 for the mirror and $25 for them to come to the house for the install.



Much better than the $245 from the Dealer!
