Last time we had about 20 or so. I know we picked up a couple at the event. Surely there are more out there that want to eat those huge crab cakes after a tough day of talking about, looking at and tinkering w/ the Cummins engines, so let me know.

Hey,John S.

Do you still want to meet up at the exit 29 park and ride first?Tom add two more to your list. I'm bringing my nephew, and we both love seafood:) ... . Doug

Keith and Doug,

Got ya covered.

G&M said that they can not handle 20 people on Sat, (yeah, I know we only have 12 so far, but you know more people are going to want to come. ), so I called the Olive Grove which is owned by the same folks and have the same crab cakes and made the reservations there. They are off 695 exit 8 on Hammond Ferry Rd. They were nicer on the phone too. I hate it when people, who should know better, treat you like an idiot for even thinking about such a ridiculous request. 20 people? It wasn't a big deal last fall. That's the last time I call them. My business partner says that the Olive Grove is cleaner too. OK I've vented. I feel better now. Everything is wonderful.

What a Blast!

Fellow MD-TDRers:

Viv and I had a great time today. As always, we enjoyed the company of our members. The Glenn Burnie Cummins Power systems folks were super hosts. The fed us, entertained and gave us great deals on Cummins parts. :D

Power Systems made money today, but it takes an extra customer commitment for them to pay all the employees, provide all the gifts and give us the great prices. They are Good. ;)

Finally, I'm always impressed with our membership support. The trucks were look'n mighty good today. Oo.

Take care all and be safe,

The Wiredawgs

This was my first TDR event and i'm glad i had the chance to go. The Cummins shop is HUGE and they opened up several bays for us to gather and eat in. Speaking of eating, the burgers and dogs were done good, several coolers full of iced down drinks, which really helped when the sun came out and started to bake us, and several tables of donuts and such for those of us that need our daily sugar fix. I was quite impressed with the overall cleanliness of the shop. Sure, they cleaned up before we arrived but as i wondered around looking at some of the rigs they were working on i saw a clean floor under them. I like to see that in a shop.

It was great to see the rows of rams that filled the parking lot. What a sight! What a sound! I spent a goodly portion of time marveling at the various personalities of each rig and the obvious care they've been receiving for many many miles. Stacks Hugh Fleetguard filters Chrome everywhere (gotta get myself some of that!). I learned lots by chatting with several folks and gained an understanding of each persons approach to fuel/air mods and rig care. I also got to watch a few Dyno runs, another first for me.

The best part was meeting all you great folks and putting a face to the handles. Having never been to an event such as this i didn't know what to expect but i found it easy meet and chat because of our common interest. You're good people!

Brian :)

PS: Kieth, thanks for letting me push some fuel out your tailpipe! That truck ROCKS!

I am glad to hear that everyone had a great time over at the shop, and yes it is normally an above average clean working environment, but everyone went the extra mile to clean it up for the open house. I wish I could have made it, but prior plans blew that out of the water  I hope to see everyone at the Kauffman's shop in the fall if not before then, now that my new transmission and clutch are in and working :D

By the way..... did anyone notice if the EYRE's bus was still in the shop? If it was, let me know, so I can mentally prepare myself for working on that thing tomorrow :D :D :-{}

Cummins Glen Burnie

Me and the wife had a good time, not sure about my 9 and 11 year olds. They behaved well Oo. under the sircumstances. I thought the parts counter would have been better stocked with lube and fuel filters,Oh well:rolleyes: . Will probably go again next year if they host another one. I tip my hat to these folks for inviting us to their establishment. It takes time and good personnel for something like this to come together. Until next time.

The clutch hold up on the trip home? Hope the video was sufficent

See Ya all soon Proram

Well I'd say the show was quite a sucess on Saturday,,With 43 Rams shining in the sun, chrome and aluminum abound, the sight was something too see,,The parts deals kept the gang hopping and except for a filter shortage most all got what they came for,,Just got to wonder if Rammin On and his trick camera got shots of Larry Willard and Wiredawgs Rams leaving with the back bumpers a draggin the ground(seems like Denise and Vivian had almost bought everything in the store and loaded the trucks to the hilt),,Nice job to Larry Willard on his show and shine award in 4x4 stock,,The dyno spin with a progressive load(simulated a 10,000 lb load) was quite a sight to see,,Doug Futchs 99 held his own with 274hp on the rear loaded,,Its a shame the SBC could not take the box on the high side underload as we all were curious to see what she had in her,,Hope you made it home safely Doug and if a hand is needed to change it let me know I'll lend a hand,,Nice to meet all the new members around and to those I missed we'll meet next meet,,All in all, plenty of stories, good food, sharp trucks and lots of neat door prizes made for a great outing,,See ya all at MIR and Kauffmans... . Andy

Yeah man! A good time was had by all!!!!

Andy ... . here's a pic of Denise and Vivian's ride after they bought out the parts store ... :D :D

So it went pretty well this round? I don't know if anyone up in New England heard anything about it. I'm glad to hear they had a dyno this time. Were the talks more interesting than what we got when we made the trip, ie "This is an oil filter... this is an air filter... and the advanced course... this is a fuel filter"? Not to offend, but even the Cummins folk acknowleged that it was pretty basic and that they'd try to offer something more appropriate. My question is how did they do? Was this last weekend an improvement and would it be worth a trip from New England next time? What were the talks about this round?

It was great meeting everyone when we were down last time. Would it be worth another trip next time?

Thanks, Matt
